Ducting

Please do not attempt to duct the airflow from or to the cooling unit. It will not work.

The exhaust and return air can not be mixed, but in a duct they would mix right away. It would be a "short circuit". Even if you think of separating the air flows (one duct from the fans and another from the coil) you increase dramatically the pressure drops. This way the cooling unit will not be able to circulate the required air quantity for an efficient, balanced operation. In other words it will not cool, just waste energy.
